Calathea Medallion

Calathea Medallion

Calathea Medallion

It's no wonder Calathea's are such a popular houseplant, with their large variety of beautiful markings, each variety different to the last they add a gorgeous vibrancy to your home! The Medallion has large, brilliant leaves giving it its name. The leaves are a stunning green with an almost like feather pattern within each leaf. The underside is a beautiful plum colour. This is so versatile so would be happy in many areas of the home due to its ability to withstand low lights however be warned that this plant can be a diva.

How to care for your Calathea -

Water: They must be kept in damp soil at all times, but definitely do not allow the plant to sit in water or in very wet soil. Think little and often as a watering policy.

Light: Calathea need plenty of diffused light however direct sunlight will cause the leaves to fade and lose their markings.

Humidity: They enjoy humidity, brown leaf tips indicate that humidity is too low.

Temperature: They like warmth, about 20 degrees C.
